The Knotted Moss Website, Blog, and Shop Policies
I realize this part of The Knotted Moss Website & Blog is about as fun to read as it was to write. Believe me, initially, it was the least entertaining piece of the entire blog. Quite frankly, as a creative minded individual, I originally thought I hated writing policies. I powered through seven migraines, countless hours of joint stiffness/excruciating pain, and almost froze my face into a scowl glaring at my chatty husband while he interrupted the thought process. Nope, did not win any wife of the year awards writing this piece. None the less, I don’t regret it…the scowling maybe…
As I researched, wrote, rewrote, edited, wrote, and rewrote this part of theknottedmoss.com, I realized first, polices are important. They are important to the life of The Knotted Moss (the dream I love!). Stating and maintaining polices are important to myself (Amanda Moss Edwards) and they are important to YOU, dear reader. That is why I took the time to research and write them so carefully. Polices explain procedures, liabilities, responsibilities, and (if written well) leave very little room for discrepancy. In my life, both personal and professional, I have found the more upfront you are with your policies, the happier you are in life and more comfortably you are in running a business. So, without further ado, here are The Knotted Moss policies:
Theknottedmoss.com is a privately owned and operated Website, Blog, and Shop. the blog associated with this website is personal blog written and edited by Amanda Moss Edwards. For questions about this blog, please contact theknottedmoss@gmail.com.
TKM Disclaimer:
Theknottedmoss.com is a privately owned and operated blog website. This is a personal blog written and edited by Amanda Moss Edwards. The contents of this blog and the views expressed are the personal views, opinions, and ideas of Amanda Moss Edwards and not those of my employer, affiliates, and/or any other organizations (past, current, or future). Being that a blog is written from the personal viewpoint of an individual, Amanda Moss Edwards.
The blog content would be considered a lifestyle blog including topics such as lifestyle, wellness, creativity, and Faith. The content of this blog, like one’s life, will progress, grow, change, and develop over time. What is true one day, may change the next…The best translation for all of that is to say the advice given in this blog is for inspirational and entertainment purposes only.
Those that choose to read and participate are doing so with the understanding that, this blog and the contents in this blog may (and will eventually) change over time. Simply said, like you, I grow and learn in my truth regularly. What I believed to be true in my twenties, are vastly different now that I am in my thirties (although, some things I still hold to be true, I developed those gems of knowledge and will continue to do so as I age). As this blog progresses, so will my life and my journey as a human being. This is the nature of growth and development. Although this element of the disclaimer sounds scary, it isn’t, it’s the flow of life and truthfully, it’s quite beautiful. Additionally, I will do my best to update information, however, information changes and becomes outdated quite quickly at times, so on occasion, the content of previously dated blog posts and information may become “outdated.”
Another key element of a blog is the ability to comment, therefore building community, conversation, affiliation, and business relations among individuals and/or businesses. The Knotted Moss and Amanda Moss Edwards is not responsible and cannot be held liable for conversations, comments, and actions resulting from individuals commenting, meeting, interacting, and/or transactions (either domestic and/or global).
For questions about this blog, please contact theknottedmoss@gmail.com.
The Disclaimer on a Personal Note: Having a website and blog does not mean I know everything, nor does that mean I can accurately advise you with your life choices, personal, professional, financial, health-wise, etc. I am simply sharing with you my own life experiences and resources I have found useful in my own personal life. I can assure you I am not an expert in a great number of topics. I have many people who would willingly step forward and testify to that statement and fact as well. The advice, ideas, remedies, solutions, problem solving techniques, etc. that I share with you in theknottedmoss.com are things that I have found relevant and useful in MY life, and again, that is a pretty subjective statement. I’m a unique and “special” individual so please use caution before applying anything questionable to your own life. The Knotted Moss and Amanda Moss Edwards cannot and will not be held liable for the choices you make in your life.
On an additional personal note, the vibe of this website and blog is intended to be positive, encouraging, inspirational, kind, and uplifting. All those who choose to participate shall do so under those guidelines. There are no other alternatives. There is no “grey area.” I will not tolerate any other type of behavior or vibe on this website.
Having a website and blog does not mean I have my life in order, nor does it mean my ducks are in a row. I can promise you, my ducks are aggressively scattered… I will do my best not to be an embarrassment to Jesus, my family, and to you my dear readers. Does that mean you won’t see or hear about me doing something absolutely ridiculous in the future? Well…I guess that depends on your definition of “ridiculous.”

The Knotted Moss Shop:
When you purchase handcrafted items from The Knotted Moss, you can rest assured you will receive an item that I put much thought into designing, creating, and offering for sale. I specialize in hypoallergenic jewelry items. I choose high quality materials in small batches and make an effort to support other small businesses. I use hypoallergenic stainless steel metal for my posts which offers a good non-tarnish option for sensitive ears at an affordable price.
In order to truly enjoy the quality of your TKM purchase, please handle, transport, and store all TKM items carefully. We have included our jewelry care information below:
We absolutely appreciate your purchase! My goal is to provide you with a piece of jewelry you will enjoy for a long time. I do my best to check the quality of my work before it leaves my shop. To keep your TKM jewelry looking its best for a long time, please follow these guidelines:
- Please keep jewelry items dry and avoid submerging them in water (swimming, showering, etc.).
- Please avoid jewelry coming in contact with lotions, perfumes, chemical cleaners, and hair/beauty products.
- Avoid prolonged and direct sunlight. Some gemstones, such as amethyst, are photosensitive. If they are exposed to direct sunlight for extensive periods of time, the colors can become dull. This is also true for the graphics in our stud earrings.
- All earring posts are very delicate. Please transport and store all TKM items carefully. Although stainless steel is a strong and quality choice in metals, earring posts were not designed to be transported loosely in purses, wallets, suitcases, bags, or with other larger/heavier objects.
- It is best to keep jewelry in a designated box, jewelry organizer, etc. when not being worn to avoid damage and/or loss.
- Only use high quality essential oils as indicated with the essential oil product lines.
- Avoid excessive tugging and pulling.
- Please do not make adjustments to your jewelry, especially the “Hammered and Stoned” style items. Some gemstones, such as Fluorite, are very delicate. A “simple twist” or “adjustment” can damage, chip, and/or crack the gemstone.
- Please keep jewelry away from small children and pets. Small items, such as jewelry, can become a choking hazard.
- Practice precaution around sharp edges of earring posts and wire.
- If you have any questions about TKM items and care, please email Amanda Moss Edwards at theknottedmoss@gmail.com with the subject line TKM ITEM CARE.
Please note, all sales are final. If you are unsatisfied with a purchase, please contact me immediately at theknottedmoss@gmail.com and use PURCHASE RESOLUTION in the subject line.
